Copo de plástico is created using a generic, single-use plastic cup.  Originally PET plastic, the cup transformed in ceramic.  It's new life should be spent filled with coffee, or a little whiskey. 

 

The base of copo de plástico is left unglazed and instead, is treated with organic beeswax. This layer of wax seals off the raw ceramic and prevents absorption of any liquids that might stain the base.  The beeswax gives the base a tan color and a sweet smell!  

 

Heir Ceramics are made by hand.  Even though these pieces are created in molds, each is trimmed, cleaned, and glazed uniquely.  Some pieces have small imperfections that give quirky character.
